Vivint Smart Home Launches Shared, Neighborhood Camera App
Provo, Utah-based Vivint Smart Home said this morning that it has launched a brand new app, Streety, which lets neighbors band together to monitor their local neighborhood. According to Vivint Smart Home, Streety lets users view live video from their neighbors' outdoor or doorbell cameras, post messages, and help neighbors monitor their neighborhood through those shared cameras. Vivint said the new service will limit neighborhood boundaries to a 300-yard radius, using third-party verification services to match identities and addresses for new users.
