Startup's High Altitude Balloon Explodes In Tucson
An high altitude balloon--being developed by a startup to provide long term, near space imagery of locations around the globe--exploded earlier this week in Tuscon, causing some facility damage at Spaceport Tucson. Worldview, which is developing "stratollites", apparently had one ofi ts test baloons rupture after a ground test, resulting in a small fire and minor superficial facility damage.
