Rover Launches Dog Walking Marketplace In Denver
Rover.com, which operates an online marketplace for pet sitting services, is expanding its suite of services in the Denver area, as part of its first expansion push in the dog walking area. Rover said it will offer the ability for Denver residents to search and select, or be instantly matched to a certified dog walker for a walk to occur within the hour or at a later time. Rover, which is backed by Boulder's Foundry Group, says it now has a network of 120,000 dog walkers nationwide across thousands of cities across the U.S. Denver is the first city in a larger, nationa expansion for the company, with more cities launching in upcoming weeks. Rover is venture backed by Spark Capital, and also included Bespoke Strategies and StepStone Group, along with Madrona Venture Group, Menlo Ventures, Foundry Group, OMERS Ventures and Technology Crossover Ventures.
