Primary Data Picks Up $40M
Salt Lake City- and Los Altos, California-based Primary Data, a developer of enterprise software used for managing data storage and storage metadata, has raised $40M in a second round of funding, the company said on Wednesday. The funding was split between a $40M, equity funding from Pelion Venture Partners, Accel, Battery Ventures, and others, plus a $20M line of credit. Primary Data is led by CEO Lance Smith. Primary Data's Chief Scientist is former Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
