Local Tech Companies Launch Scholarship Program For Women
A group of technology companies--including Denver-based FullContact, Boulder-based startup accelerator Techstars, venture capital investor Foundry Group, as well as others, said on Tuesday that they have launched a new scholarship program aimed at women who are undergraduate or graduate students. According to the Women Forward in Technology Scholarship Program, it will be awarding multiple scholarships of $3,000 to woman undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time at an accredited university in the US, in a STEM field. The group has raised $50,000 so far to fund those scholarships, with the deadline for the first award on August 1st.
