DISH Connects To Amazon Alexa, Fire TV
Englewood, Colorado-based DISH made two big announcements with Amazon today, saying that its Hopper DVR now works with Amazon's popular Alexa voice control systems, and that its DISH Anywhere app now works with Amazon Fire TV products. DISH said that its Hopper and Wally set top boxes can now be controlled by Amazon Echo, Echo Dot or Amazon Tap, letting users change the channel, search for titles, rewind and fast forward, and more using those devices. The integration with Amazon Fire TV lets users view their DISH Anywhere content from any Amazon Fire TV device.
