SendGrid Gets $33M In Series D Funding
Denver-based email delivery services provider SendGrid has raised $33M in a Series D funding, the company said on Wednesday, which was led by Bain Capital Ventures, along with Foundry Group, Bessemer Venture Partners and SofTech VC. All of the investors in this round are previously investors in the company, whose software and services helps to power the transactional emails of hundreds of application developers providers, e-commerce companies, online services, and others. The company said the new funds will go to accelerate its product roadmap and global expansion. SendGrid is led by Sameer Dholakia. The company says it has over 42,000 paying customers, including such brands as Airbnb, Costco, eBay, Spotify, Uber and Yelp.
