Sphero Drops BB-8 Pricing To $99 On Cyber Monday
Boulder-based robotic ball maker Sphero has dropped the price of its flagship BB-8 robotic ball to just $99.99 on Cyber Monday, as part of its holiday promotions. The BB-8 normally costs $149.99. Sphero has been running the $99.99 promotion on the Star Wars BB-8 robotic ball (plus its Force Band, Ollie, and others) since Thursday of last week. The company also promoted deals on Sunday, saying it had deals for "Sloth Sunday". Last year--due to the launch of the new Star Wars film--Sphero's BB-8 was one of the hottest toys on the market, causing the company to sell out early in the season and become one of the most, sought-after toys on the market.
