Sarcos Robotics Taps Former Navy Admiral For Advisory Board
Sarco Robotics, which is developing robotic suits ala Iron Man, has tapped the expertise of a former U.S. Navy Vice Admiral for its advisory board, the company said this morning. The company--which has offices in both Salt Lake City and Bellevue, Washington--said that it has added Vice Admiral, U.S. Navy (Ret.) David Dunaway to its board of advisors. Dunaway is the second military admiral to join its advisory board, which also includes Admiral (Ret.) William Owens. Dunaway previously was Commander of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Commander of the Operational Test and Evaluation Force, Commander of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division and Assistant Commander for Test and Evaluation at Naval Air Systems Command. Sarcos recently raised a big round of funding from Caterpillar Ventures, GE Ventures, and Microsoft Corporation.
