Digital Globe Satellite Launch Delayed Due To Wildfire
A launch of the latest satellite for Westminster, Colorado-based Digital Globe has been delayed for at least a week, due to a wild fire that broke out at Vandenberg Air Force Base over the weekend. DigitalGlobe's WorldView-4 satellite had already seen a delay due to a leak during propellant loading operations on Friday. DigitalGlobe said that its WorldView-4 satellite launch has been postponed until no earlier than Monday, September 26th, subject to launch readiness and weather. The WorldView-4 is being launched on an Atlas V by the United Launch Alliance (ULA). WorldView-4's imaging satellite has the same capabilities as Digital Globe's WorldView-3 satellite.
