Centricient Finds $6.5M In Funding
Bozeman, Montana-based Centricient said this morning that it has raised $6.5M in financing, which was led by Venrock and also included Next Frontier Capital. Venrock--which is one of the longest and most established venture firms in Silicon Valley--is adding Nick Beim to Centricient's board as part of the funding. Centricient develops a cloud-based software application, which helps connecte enterprises with their customers via Facebook Messneger, SMS, and text messaging. The investment by Venrock is a big vote of confident for the Montana firm--Venrock's prior successful investments have included such companies as Apple Computer, Intel, Gilead Sciences, Idec Pharmaceuticals, Check Point Software, and many, many others. Mike Myer is the founder and CEO of Centricient.
