AncestryDNA, Quest Diagnostics Link On Genetic Testing
Lehi, Utah-based AncestryDNA, the unit of Ancestry which offers up gene testing services to help individuals learn more about their ethnic origins, has inked a big deal with medical testing provider Quest Diagnostics. According to the two companies, the deal will help AncestryDNA scale its testing services, with Quest Diagnostics providing genotyping test services on behalf of AncestryDNA. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Ancestry said that it selected Quest Diagnostics after a formal request for proposal (RFP) from several laboratory organizations.
