Ping Identity Acquires UnboundID
Denver-based Ping Identity announced this morning that it has acquired UnboundID, a developer of customer identity and access management software. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Ping said the acquisition will help is add a scalable user directory for social login, customer preference and profile management. As part of the acquisition, Steve Shoaff, CEO of UnboundID, becomes Chief Product Officer of Ping Identity, and will be responsible for all of engineering and product management for the joint company. The acquisition is backed by Vista Equity Partners, which acquired Ping Identity in June. UnboundId is based in Austin, Texas.
