Black Bear Energy Finds $2.5M For Energy Services
Boulder-based Black Bear Energy, a startup which helps commercial renewable energy buyers with negotiations and contracts, has raised $2.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Boulder Ventures, and also included the Rocky Mountain Insitute, the seed investor in the company. Black Bear Energy was founded by Drew Torbin and Kim Saylors-Laster. Torbin and Saylor-Laster have previously been at Prologis and Walmart, helping to deploy on-site corporate solar programs. Boulder Ventures' investment was led by Kyle Lefkoff.
