Pelion Leads Investment In Techstars Alum Keen IO
Salt Lake City-based investor Pelion Ventures is the lead investor in Techstars' Cloud alumni Keen IO, in a $14.7M Series B funding today. Keen IO, which is based in San Francisco, said its Series B funding was led by Pelion, and also included Sequoia Capital, Rincon Venture Partners, Amplify Partners, Rothenberg Ventures, Techstars, 500 Startups, Heavybit and Galvanize Ventures. The company came out of the 2012 Techstars Cloud startup accelerator. Keen.IO has now raised $30M in total. Pelion has been a very active investor in Silicon Valley companies over the last year or so, having backed such Silicon Valley companies as DriveScale (enterprise computing), BigPanda (IT alerting), ICEBRG (network security), and Gem (blockchain security), in addition to its more local investments.
