Roximity Acquired By Verve
Denver-based Roximity, which develops a network of wireless beacons being used for marketing at retailers, has been acquired by New York-based Verve. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Verve said the acquisition was backed by a new, $30M debt funding round from Silicon Valley Bank. Roximity's Bluetooth beacons are used by marketers to engage and measure consumer behavior in retail stores; the company was one of the startup sin the 2012 Boulder class of Techstars.
