Techstars Foundation Launches Fundraising Drive
The Techstars Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Techstars which is looking to increase the diversity in technology entrepreneurship, said it is launching a big fundraising drive, where Techstars co-founder Brad Feld and spouse Amy Batchelor will match donations to the organization for the next 90 days. According to the foundation, Feld and Batchelor will match $1 for every $2 contributed to the group. The Techstars Foundation just named the first awardees for its grants, selecting Astia, Patriot Boot Camp, Defy Ventures, Change Catalyst, and Gaza Sky Geeks for their efforts to help increase the diversity in tech. Feld and Batchelor will contribute up to $100,000 to the effort.
