Goal Zero, OtterBox Link On iPhone Accessory Compatibility
Salt Lake City, Utah-based portable power accessory maker Goal Zero, and Fort Collins, Colorado-based OtterBox said today that they have linked up to provide interoperable products for the iPhone. According to the two, they have partnered to make Goal Zero's Slide and Slide Plus Batteries as modules which connect into the OtterBox uniVERSE Case System. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. Goal Zero's Slides are external batteries, which recharge via USB. OtterBox's uniVERSE Case System allows third parties to connect into its popular line of iPhone 6/6s and 6 Plus 6s/Plus cases. Goal Zero said the new, compatible battery packs will ship in August.
