DevMountain Acquired By Capella Education For $20M
Provo, Utah-based coding school provider DevMountain has been acquired by publicly held online University operator Capella Education, the companies said late Wednesday. Capella said it would pay $20M, split between $15M in cash and up to $5M in earn out over three years, for DevMountain. DevMountain will continue to be headquartered in Provo with its existing management team, operating as a subsidiary of Capella. DevMountain was founded only three years ago, in 2013, by Cahlan Sharp (CEO), Tyler Richards (CMO), and Colt Henrie (COO). DevMountain offers up immersive, in-person coding schools focused on iOS, web development, and other technology areas.
