Vision Ridge Partners' Evercar Plans Expansion In Los Angeles
Evercar, a startup which is developing an electric vehicle sharing network, and which is backed by Boulder's Vision Ridge partners, is planning a major expansion the Greater Los Angeles area, according to the company. Evercar's parent company, Vision Fleet, said it has financing now from Vision Ridge to add as many as 1,000 electric vehicles in Los Angeles, which are shared among Uber, Lyft, and other on-demand drivers. Evercar says it lets Uber, Lyft, Postmates, and other on-demand car drivers rent vehicles for as little as $5 an hour, and handles all of the maintnenace, fuel, insurance, and other fleet issues for those drivers.
