Charlotte, North Carolina-based energy supplier
Duke Energy reported Monday that its energy reporting and comparison program,
"My Home Energy Report"--which is powered by software from Boulder-based
Tendril--has saved nearly 1 terawatt in total energy since launching in 2010. The program, which lets customers compare their energy use compared with other, similar homes based on age, size, location, and heating source, is aimed at getting consumers to reduce their energy consumption. Tendril's software and data are used to drive Duke Energy's MyHER program.
