MyHeritage Adds Audio Recording For Family History Buffs
Lehi, Utah- and Tel Aviv, Israel-based family history site MyHeritage is adding a familiar tool for history buffs--the oral history interview--directly as part of its mobile app, according to the company. MyHeritage said the new audio recording feature lets users directly capture audio recordings from their family, and save that to the cloud-based service. Oral histories are popular with historians and others to capture direct, personal stories--for example, the stories of survivors of Pearl Harbor--before those memories are lost. MyHeritage said its feature will let users play back those interviews from the family tree profile of those individuals who give the interview. The feature is free.
