Homie Finds Funding For Real Estate Marketplace
Salt Lake City-based Homie, a new real estate startup, has raised a round of funding from Peak Ventures and angel Mike Levinthal, according to Peak this morning. Size of the seed investment round was not announced. Homie is developing a peer-to-peer marketplace, to connect buyers, builders, and sellers of homes, bypassing traditional real estate agents. Homie was founded by four veterans of Sallt Lake's startup industry, including Johnny Hanna (former president of Entrata), Mike Trionfo (former co-founder of Entrata), Matt Thorne (who was an attorney at Holland & Hart and Stoel Rives), and Mike Peregrina (Mercato Partners, Valtus Capital).
