Local Startups Make Best Places To Launch A Career Ranking
A number of local, high tech startups across the region have made a list of so-called career-launching startups, which was announced this week. Wealthfront, a Silicon Valley company offering up online investment management services, said it polled venture capital companies in Silicon Valley on which companies were "ideal places for young people to start their careers" to create its Wealthfront 2016 Career Launching Companies. On the list were five, Utah companies--Domo, Health Catalyst, HireVue, InsideSales.com, and Qualtrics, and exactly one Colorado company, Sendgrid. Wealthfront said companies on the list must have revenues between $20 million and $300 million and an expected growth rate in excess of 50% over at least the next four years. Wealthfront said it polled 16 Silicon Valley investment firms to make up the list: Accel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Benchmark, DAG Ventures, Dragoneer, Greylock Partners, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Matrix Partners, Redpoint Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Sequoia Capital, the Social + Capital Partnership, Spark Capital and TCV. All of the companies on the list have multi-million dollar investments from at least one, if not multiple of the venture firms who helped shape the list, and Wealthfront's own investors also are all included in those lists of venture investors polled for the listing.
