Coalfire Systems Acquired By The Carlyle Group
Louisville, Colorado-based Coalfire Systems, the provider of cybersecurity and technology services, has been acquired by a private equity company. According to the companies, The Carlyle Group and The Cherthoff Group, a provider of security and risk management advisory services, have acquired a majority stake in Coalfire Systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Chertoff Group is led by Michael Chertoff, former U.S. Homeland Security Secretary. Coalfire said the strategic investment will go towards expanding its market presence, and to help recruit talent to the company. Baird Capital remains an investor in Coalfire.
