Foundry Re-Ups On Spare5 For Micro Work App
Boulder-based venture investor Foundry Group's latest investment, Spare5 is looking to help anyone with an iPhone earn some money in their spare time--and help companies with their difficult to automate tasks. According to Spare5, a Seattle startup, Foundry Group, along with Madrona Venture Group and New Enterprise Associates, have funded the company in a Series A to the tune of $10M. The company develops an iPhone app which presents small tasks--adding keywords to a photo, correcting data entry, discerning a fuzzy scan, and son on--all things that are difficult for computers, but easy for humans. Foundry Group was one of the seed investors in Spare5 in an earlier round in December of 2014.
