PlanetiQ Opens Office In Boulder
PlanetIQ, a company developing a constellation of satellites dedicated to weather, climate and space weather analysis, says that it has opened up an office in Boulder, Colorado. According to the company, its new science and engineering facility will be used to complete development and manufacturing of its flight instruments. PlanetiQ said the new facility will be co-located with Blue Canyon Technologies, which is helping the company to develop its initial set of 12 microsatellites. The company said its satellites will track GPS signals coming through Earth's atmosphere, and use that data to measure global temperature, pressure and water vapor, via a technique called radio occultation (RO); the company plans to supply that data for weather and climate prediction and analysis.
