FreeWave Technologies Co-Founder Wulchin Moves On
Boulder-based FreeWave Technologies, the developer of M2M, industrial wireless networking technology, said Wednesday that its co-founder, Steve Wulchin, is stepping down from his role as President. FreeWave said that Wulchin will continue to be a board member, and will remain the company's single largest shareholder. The company said the move will let Wulchin move on to the "next chapter" of his career. FreeWave Technologies recently named a new CEO, Kim Niederman, who has recently hired a new suite of executives for the company. FreeWave said that Wulchin instead plans to get more involved in the startup community, both from the standpoint of active involvement and mentorship, as well as private investment.
