MuscleSound Kicks Off $5M Funding Effort
Denver-based MuscleSound, a developer of technology aimed at detecting and preventing soft muscle injuries, is kicking off a $5M funding effort, run by Alchemy Global, the company said Tuesday. The company--which announced a $4.3M seed funding round in March--did not say if it had any lead investors on the funding. MuscleSound and Alchemy said the offering is Reg D funding aimed at accredited investors, and that it will use the funds for global expansion, hiring, and growth in key sports verticals. The company says it is developing an ultrasound-based product which measures glycogen in muscle tissue.
