The Robots Are Coming: Rover Rally Launches Robot Competition
Colorado, which has become quite a hotbed for robotics related startups (think Sphero and Sparkfun), has a new robotics related competition in the works, in Parker. Organizers of the 2015 Parker Rover Rally say they have launched a brand new, robotics competition which will challenge robot makers--both kids and adults--to compete for prizes in three different events. The new effort is a collaboration between the Deep Space technology programs and Parker Arts, and will be held on Saturday, May 16th. The challenges include programming robots to automatically complete a figure 8 as quickly as possible without running into obstacles, autonomous navigation, and a robot jumping event.
