Skyward, Backed By Techstars, Lands $4.1M
Skyward, a developer of software and information services related to unmanned aerial vehicles and aerial robots, has scored funding from Boulder-based Techstars Ventures. Skyward said it had raised $4.1M in an expansion, seed capital funding, which included Draper Associates, Founders Co-Op, Moment Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, Techstars Ventures, Verizon Ventures, and Voyager Capital. Skyward joins a long list of robotics related startups with Boulder area venture investors, including such companies as Sphero (robotic balls), Brewbot (beer brewin robots), Sifteo (robot toys), littleBits (robotic and electronic kits); and 3D Robotics (aerial drones), just to name a few.
