Modular Robotics Backs Denver's CoderDojo To Teach Kids Robots
Boulder-based Modular Robotics, the maker of the MOSS and Cubelets robotic toys, is helping to get even more area kids involved in the thrill of building their own robots, through an effort with CoderDojo. The group--which has been running events out of the Denver Public Library--said it will be running a free 4-week workshop beginning on March 7 to teach area kids (and maybe, parents) a bit about programming their own robots. CoderDojo--which had its first event in January--said it will use Modular Robotics' Cubelets and other robotics products to help kids between the ages of 7 and 19 learn more about coding software and robots. Modular Robotics is venture backed by Foundry Group; CoderDojo also counts other local partners in SendGrid, Talent Lattice and Regis University.
