Accuvant, FishNet Merge For Combined Cyber Security Effort
Denver-based Accuvant, the information security firm acquired last year by Blackstone, is growing, saying today that it has merged with Overland Park, Kansas-based FishNet Security. Financial details of the merger were not announced. Accuvant and FishNet said they would relaunch with a new name and marketing brand in the second half of 2015. The newly merge company will be led by Dan Burns. The companies said that, in 2014, the two had a combined total revenue of approximately $1.5 billion, with 1,400 employees and 10,000 customers. The acquisition is the first since Blackstone's acquisition of Accuvant last year.
