Sensintel Acquired By Raytheon For UAVs
Tucson-based Sensintel, which developed unmanned aircraft systems for the intelligence and special operations community, has been acquired by Raytheon, Raytheon announced this morning. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Raytheon said that Sensintel will become part of its Missile Systems business. Sensintel had around 50 employees. Raytheon said Sensintel has relationships with the Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Office of Naval Research and U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. Sensintel's flagship product was the Coyote UAS.
