Overstock.com Plans Streaming Television, Video Service
Salt Lake City-based Overstock.com said Tuesday that it will be launching its own, video-on-demand and streaming service, in an expansion of its services, CEO Patrick Byrne said at the NATPE conference. Overstock plans on initially offering a smallset of 30,000 titles on the service, with plans to expand to more later. The company--following the Amazon.com model--said it will make the streaming service available to members of its loyalty program for free.
