Peak Ventures Invests $500K In Tute Genomics
Peak Ventures, the early stage investment firm founded by Jeff Burningham, Jeff Danley and Jamie Dunn, said Tuesday that it invested $500,000 in Tute Genomics, the cloud-based genome analysis software developer which announced a funding on December 5th. Peak's investment was part of the $2.3M Series A1 funding led by Eurovestech. Peak Ventures' Jeff Burningham has joined the board of Tute Genomics as part of the funding. Tute Genomics provide cloud-based data anlysis for gene sequencing data, and says its tools allow it to conduct interpretation of genetic sequencing data in a fraction of the time of other tools. Peak Ventures raised a $23M investment fund in September, and is one of the region's most active investors.
