Boulder-based accelerator operator
Techstars is taking its brand and expertise in startup acceleration to a new market again this morning, saying it has opened up a new accelerator in Motor City--Detroit. Techstars said its new
Techstars Mobility program--a corporate program it is running with partners Ford Motor Company, Magna International and Verizon Telematics--was built in conjunction with investors Fontinalis Partners, Detroit Venture Partners and Renaissance Venture Capital. The program will give ten companies $120,000 in funding, and three months with its partners in Detroit's entrepreneurial district, starting in June of 2015. The new program is being led by Ted Serbinski, formerly of Detroit Venture Partners.
