GoDaddy Launches Naming Contest For Super Bowl Commercial Puppy
Scottsdale, Arizona-based GoDaddy is kicking off promotional efforts for its Super Bowl commercial in February, saying today that it has launched a new contest to name the star of its newest commercial campaign--a fuzzy Golden Retriever puppy. The company--which is featuring the puppy with Danica Patrick in the commercial--said its new Super Bowl ad is called "Journey Home", and is centered around the journey of a small business owner. GoDaddy has been in a major push to brand itself as a provider of web sites, hosting, and related services to small businesses, ever since its acquisition by a number of private equity investors in 2011.
