Tendril Rolls Out New Energy Usage Algorithms
Boulder-based energy services and software developer Tendril said today that it has rolled out a new feature of its software, which it says makes it possible for it to support all 130 million homes in North America. According to Tendril, its new service aims to profile homes based not just on limited, prior billing history--but which uses a model to create a prediction of a home's energy consumption, based on the name, address, and other details of a house from third parties. The company said the new feature is aimed at supporting even customers who have just moved into a new house, where it has no other data. The company also said its offering now handles "weather normalization" to accommodate for energy changes during the year.
