Gogo Launches Business Aviation Service In Canada
Gogo, the provider of in-flight Internet connectivity, said Tuesday that it has expanded its in-flight Internet and voice services for businesses. Gogo--which runs its business aviation group, Aircell, out of Broomfield, Colorado--said Aircell's service now is available in the Continental U.S., Alaska, and Canada. The company said the move is the largest, geographical expansion for Gogo Biz since 2009. Gogo's service takes advantage of ground-based stations for its broadband connectivity; the company has gained approval in 2012 to use radio spectrum for the service in Canada. Gogo launched Canadian support on its commercial airline service in January.
