Cologix Expands In Vancouver, Canada
Denver-based colocation provider Cologix reports today that it has expanded its colocation footprint in Vancouver, Canada, and opened up a second data center in the location. According to Cologix, the new data center adds 15,000 square feet of inventory on top of an existing, Vancouver location. Cologix said the new data center looks to "address a void" due to underinvestment in downtown data center capacity in Vancouver, plus the the consolidation of network neutral providers by carriers. The company said that 25 percent of the facility's PHase 1 space has already been sold. The company said the new data center is its eleventh in Canada, and the eighteenth the company has in North America.
