The funding was led by new investor Foundry Group, and also included prior investors Torstar, Trinity Ventures, Toba Capital and Harris Barton. TeamSnap said that Foundry's Jason Mendelson joins the board with the funding. The funding had been disclosed earlier via a regulatory filing. TeamSnap, which is led by Dave Dupont, said the move will help it accelerate its growth. TeamSnap's services are used by coaches and amateur sports teams to track everything from games to practice schedules, to sharing photos. The company says it now has 5 million customers worldwide.
