Occipital Ships 3D Capture Software For Mac
Boulder- and San Francisco-based Occpital, the developer of mobile apps, has just released a new, 3D capture and scanning software package for the Mac--thanks to its recent acquisition of ManCTL. Occipital's Skanect team announced the addition of its 3D capture package for the Mac Wednesday, saying that the software runs on the Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro. The software is used by games, animation, and other developers to do 3D motion capture, using consumer grade, 3D cameras. The software had been in Beta. Occipital develops mobile panorama app 360 Panorama, and also was the creator of RedLaser, which it sold to eBay back in 2010.
