Overstock.com reported this morning that Patrick M. Byrne has returned to his post as CEO of the company, after a medical leave of absence. Overstock.com said that Byrne had taken a leave of absence in February to deal with a cardiac issue, related to cancer treatments he received earlier in his life. The firm had appointed Jonathan Johnson as acting CEO in the meantime; Johnson was President of the firm. As part of the move, Overstock.com noted that it has nominated Johnson to the board to serve as Executive Vice Chairman.
