ShopAtHome.com Sees Bump In Black Friday Visits
Denver-based online coupon shopping search engine ShopAtHome.com, which was founded by Marc and Claudia Braunstein, is reporting that Black Friday traffic to the coupon site was up 23 percent over Black Friday 2011. The coupon site said it received 633,464 site visits on Black Friday, and 516,566 site visits on Thanksgiving. Thankgiving visits were up 29 percent from last year. The firm's numbers match closely with e-commerce sales numbers reported by Internet measurement firm comScore over the weekend, where that company said it saw a 26% increase in e-commerce purchases on Black Friday versus last year, rising to a total of $1.042 billion in online sales.
