C7 Data Centers Links With Hurricane Electric
Salt Lake City-based C7 Data Centers is supporting a new point of presence (PoP) for Internet backbone and colocation provider Hurricane Electric. Hurricane Electric said it is expanding its network with the new PoP at C7's Salt Lake City data center, which will reduce latency, router hops, and improve fault tolerance, load balancing, and more for C7 network flows. Financial details of the link between the two was not announced. The expansion allows companies in C7's facilities connect directly into one of the major IPv6 Internet backbones.
