Webroot Claims Top Spot In Security Market
Broomfield, Colorado-based Webroot said this week that it has been ranked number two in the U.S. retail security software market. The firm, quoting numbers released by The NPD Group, said it had a 31 percent share of the U.S. retail security software market. Webroot said the high ranking was a result of a shift to focus on strategic partnerships and a targeted consumer base. The firm said its numbers show that it has doubled its footprint in the retail market since last year, in October of 2011.
