Closely Helps Small Businesses With Social Monitoring App
Denver-based startup, Closely has rolled out a new, free, mobile app today which is aimed at helping local merchants gain real-time insight into social media and promotional activity of local businesses. The firm said its new app, Perch, lets merchants get a "bird's eye" view of the social activity happening around them, whether that is a new consumer review on Yelp of their own business--or even, one of their competitors. The startup, which is headed by Perry Evans, said it pulls in data from Facebook, Twitter, Fourquare, Yelp, as well as hundreds of deal sites. The new app is free, and works on both the iPhone and Android.
