Wilson Electronics Backs Verizon, T-Mobile In Signal Booster Standards Effort
St. George, Utah-based Wilson Electronics, the developer of cell phone booster technology used to help extend the range of coverage for users in remote areas, said that it is in an effort to back proposed signal booster standards from Verizon Wireles, T-Mobile, and others. Wilson Electronics said the move would benefit the firm, as it is the first time big-four wireless carriers operating CDMA and GSM networks have acknowledged that signal boosters can be deployed without harming their networks.
