Fusion-io Wins Pandora
Salt Lake City-based solid state storage provider Fusion-io reported this morning that its ioMemory products are being used by personalized Internet radio provider Pandora. Financial impact of the deal were not disclosed. Fusion-io said that Pandora is using the firm's products to replace disk-based content servers to cache most frequently requested songs in the company's archive. Pandora is a provider of free, streaming music services.
